One of the biggest draw backs was always trying to get the oil out of the frier and back into the original container. I have tried cheese cloth, coffee filters, paper towels, you name it I've tried it. All of these methods worked with different degrees of success, but all were clunky and required at least two people to complete. This device does the trick and is a one man operation. It takes a little longer than you might expect, but in about five minutes the oil will be transferred and all the mess is left in the bottom of the frier. Clean up is really easy, just fill a pitcher with water and Dawn dish soap, stick both the pump head and the hose in the pitcher and let it run for a few minutes, rinse, dry, remove the battery and store for net time.
